Neighborhoods worth waiting for
The Town of Samoa is one of the most exciting developments to occur in Humboldt County. The purchase of a retired company lumber town and master plan redevelopment of it, will not only provide the infrastructure to restore and preserve the existing coastal town, but will build the community into a thriving mixed use development. Adding a town square, artist live-work studios, miles of pedestrian trails, light industrial park, as well as a variety of home sizes and a multi-family component, the town will also retain its original charm and character through the preservation of its existing homes. Currently undergoing the public approval process, the development must go before the Humboldt County Planning Commission, Board of Supervisors, and the California Coastal Commission.
Creek Side Homes is the possibility of 151 homes in Arcata, CA. Intended to clean up an old industrial site, restore a creek bed, add bike and pedestrian trails as well as connect two existing and isolated neighborhoods, Creek Side Homes must first pass approval for annexation into the City of Arcata. The area was designated in Arcata’s General Plan 2020 as suitable for annexation prior to 2008. If approved, the development will offer a variety of home and lot sizes and types including a co-housing component. ‘Smart growth’ experts have worked with us in our planning process in order to ensure the best possible addition to the Arcata community.
Beau Pre Heights is a proposed 80-lot subdivision in McKinleyville, CA. The majority of these lots will be one to two acres in size and all exemplify the natural beauty of the northern Humboldt County area. Currently we are in the midst of the project’s initial study and mitigated negative declaration for the California Environmental Quality Act.
