Overview

Cottages at Cypress is a twenty-five unit, single-story affordable housing project for seniors earning 50% or less of the Area Median Income. The project is in the process of achieving multiple green building certifications, including LEED for Homes - Platinum. Cottages at Cypress is located at 330 Cypress Street in Fort Bragg, CA. Construction began in May of 2013 and was completed in February 2014. Accepted applicants began moving in February 2014.

Eligibility

You must be at least 62 years of age or disabled to qualify for this property.

To be eligible to live at Cottages at Cypress, you must be 62 years of age or over and meet certain income-level restrictions. Income levels are measured as a percentage of AMI, the Area Median Income. Tenants must have an income level at or less than a certain percentage of AMI. Cottages at Cypress is made possible through a unique collaboration between Danco Communities, Community Revitalization & Development Corporation, Danco Builders, USDA Rural Development, the California Tax Credit Allocation Committee, and the City of Fort Bragg.
