Who We Are

The Danco Group was founded in 1986 by Dan Johnson with the creation of Danco Builders, a small, family-owned and operated construction company focused on residential and commercial projects in Northern California. More than four decades later, Danco remains family-owned and operated, with three family members actively involved in the organization. Over the years, the company has grown into a fully integrated enterprise with expertise spanning construction, real estate development, and property management, establishing Danco as one of the leading affordable housing developers in the Western United States.

Today, The Danco Group consists of six distinct companies: Danco Builders, Danco Builders Northwest, Danco Communities, Danco Property Management, Danco Supportive Services, and Danco Hospitality. Together, these organizations provide a comprehensive, cradle-to-grave approach to housing development, managing every stage of a project’s lifecycle from site acquisition and development through construction, property management, resident services, and long-term operations.
